Cartier, dubbed “Joaillier des rois, roi des joailliers” (jeweler of kings, king of jewelers) by Edward VII at the time that he famously ordered twenty-seven tiaras for his 1902 coronation, Cartier has been setting the industry standard in precious stones since the firm’s inception in 1847. Which is why it really goes without saying, but what woman isn’t thrilled by the sight of that little red box?
