Anndra Neen
Design is genetic for Mexico City sisters Annette and Phoebe Stephens – their grandmother, Annette Nancarrow, amalgamated mixed metals and pre-Columbian stones to create trinkets that later ended up in the collections of Frida Kahlo and Peggy Guggenheim. Anndra Neen has amassed a few followers of its own, including Michelle Obama, and earned the prestigious Dorchester Collection Fashion Prize in 2011. Expect unpretentious pieces that pay homage to their native land, forging copper, brass, alpaca and indigenous stones to forge an antique charm with a polished finish.
