Harry Winston Archive

Today, Harry Winston seems about as established as any jeweler could ever be. It’s been, after all, sixty years since Marilyn Monroe first immortalized the jeweler in “Diamonds Are a Girls’ Best Friend” and since Winston himself reshaped the Hope Diamond before its relocation to the Smithsonian Institute. Hard to believe that Winston was once the controversial figure who acquired Arabella Huntington’s famous collection of Paris-bought jewels (primarily from Cartier), only to dissemble and redesign each of the pieces. Today Harry Winston is an internationally recognized authority with eight stand-alone salons worldwide.
